Vilias Ksaveras Slavinskas is a Lithuanian artist who was born in 1943 in Kaunas. He graduated from the Lithuanian State Art Academy in 1978 with a degree in Interior Design, however he would later pursue painting as his primary medium. Slavinskas takes very seriously the notion of free expression and thought in his painting, and actively pursues the “mystery of the surrounding world.” His works are reflective of his personal vision.

Slavinskas has held over 100 solo exhibitions since 1978 through Europe and the United States, as well as appearing in more than 80 group exhibitions. He is a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union (LDS), the Kaunas Artists Club “Wings of Art,” the Lithuanian watercolorists club “Aqua-12,” has been President of the Artists' Club "Sfinksas” since its founding in December 1994.
