Ioan Atanasiu Delmare, Ph.D was born on January 5th, 1955, in Bucharest, Romania.  In 1974, he completed his B.A. at “Matei Basarab secondary school and was awarded a B.F.A. from the Fine Arts Institute “Nicolae Grigorescu” in 1983 (both in Bucharest).  Finally, he completed a Ph.D in Bucharest under Graphic Fine Arts in 2006.  

Ioan has been a member of the Union of Romanian Artists since 1990, working as a graphic designer at Bucharest's University of Fine Mechanics from 1984-1994 and a Teacher’s Assistant to Bucharest’s Academy of Art from 1992-1996.  He also lectured at the Academy of Art in 1996.  He currently lives in Bucharest.
